Wonder Works started out as a dream between two professionals at the Southern Pines Hospital. Dr. Dan Morrisey and Christine Osborne would chat about how they wanted to create an inspirational shop that would encourage children to tap into their imaginations. After talking about it for years, the two opened the first Wonder Works location in 1990.
While Dr. Dan has since passed, his legacy remains strong throughout the two Charleston SC toy store locations. You can still find Christine running shop events or helping the product team choose the best toys for the shelves. The store now has two locations, including the Mount Pleasant location in the Belle Hall Shopping Center and the Charleston location in the Great Hall at the City Market.
